14-19 Learning Pathways
The Welsh Assembly Government has expressed their commitment to the 14-19 agenda by stating a target of 95 per cent of young people by the age of 25 to be ready for high skilled employment or higher education by 2015.’
Educ8 is currently a member of the Caerphilly 14-19 Network and Rhondda Cynon Taff 14-19 Network and has developed an Induction Learning Pathway.
This induction is aimed at providing pupils in Years 10 and 11 with an introduction and taster to Health and Social Care and Childcare (Early Years) giving the basic principles of the sector.
We are working with the Local Area Networks in developing vocational pathways which will complement the existing services provided by secondary schools. Our philosophy is not to replace, but to compliment existing courses and enhance these through direct work based learning experience and knowledge.
