Overview
The CIEH Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace is suited to all employees. The course will provide a foundation of Health and Safety knowledge in the workplace and will increase staff awareness. This course can be tailored to business and individual needs to make the learning experience relevant and fit for purpose.
Course Objectives
The qualification covers the following 4 modules:
- Introduction to Health and Safety
- Workplace Hazards and Risks
- Workplace Conditions
- Workplace Procedures
Progression Opportunities
The CIEH Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace provides a solid knowledge foundation to build upon. The course will offer the opportunity to progress and work towards the CIEH level 2 award in Health and Safety in the workplace. This qualification can also be used towards obtaining your NVQ qualification.
Additional Information
Candidates attend the full half day session in order to qualify for the multiple choice examination at the end of the day. The examination will consist of 15 multiple choice questions and must be completed within half an hour under examination conditions. Candidates that achieve 10 or more correct answers will pass the examination and receive a certificate. Examination results and certification will take approximately two weeks to process.
