Overview
This course is suited to all employees in the health and social care sector. Based on the first part of the CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace – an introduction to health and safety adapted for health and social care, this qualification provides candidates with a good understanding and knowledge of health and safety in the health and social care sector.

The CIEH Level 2 Award Health and Safety in Health and Social Care qualification covers the following topics:
- Legislation
- Health
- Safety
- Welfare
- Hygiene awareness
- Hygiene hazards
- Personal hygiene

Additional Information
Learners must attend the full session in order to qualify for the written examination at the end of the day. The examination will consist of thirty multiple choice questions and must be completed within one hour. Candidates that achieve 20 or more correct answers will pass the examination and receive a certificate.
Examination results and certification will take approximately two weeks to process.
