If the answer to these questions is yes, then the Jobs Growth Wales programme could be what you need.

Set up by Welsh Government, Jobs Growth Wales provides unemployed but job-ready young people with 26 weeks’ worth of paid work experience in the hope that great performance will result in a permanent job.

Jobs Growth Wales could be the next step to landing your dream job!

There are hundreds of opportunities available across Wales in a wide range of sectors, from Health & Social Care to Marketing.  You will need to create a Careers Wales profile in order to apply for any of the vacancies.

How can we help you?

  • If you need support with applying for a Jobs Growth Wales vacancy, contact our Employability Team on 01443 749034.  You can book an appointment to come in to our Training Centre in Ystrad Mynach and one of our Employability Coaches will help you to develop your Careers Wales profile, your CV and provide you with advice and support for completing applications.
  • If you are successful in securing a Jobs Growth Wales position with one of our employers, we’ll monitor your progress and help give you the best possible chance of progression through the Young Recruits programme, once you have completed your placement.

You will need to work a minimum of 25 hours per week over a seven day period and will be paid the National Minimum Wage rate relevant to your age.
