Pre Apprenticeship Learning (PAL)

This programme is designed to support individuals with basic skills needs prior to progressing onto an apprenticeship. The qualifications delivered within this programme include:

  • Certificate in Numeracy Entry Levels 1-3
  • Certificate in Literacy Entry Levels 1-3

Individuals undergo a comprehensive diagnostic assessment to identify specific basic skills needs.

An Individual Learning Plan (ILP) is designed and tailored for each individual to suit their specific needs and requirements.

On successful completion of the programme, a further basic skills assessment is completed to determine progression and improvement in basic skills.

Individuals are able to progress to an apprenticeship programme following successful completion of the PAL programme.

This programme is primarily delivered on a one to one basis by qualified experienced basic skills tutors.
