Job Title: Skill Build tutor/Assessor
Responsible for: Skill Build Learners
Reports to: Lead, Skills Centre

Role: To develop, deliver and evaluate learning programmes and support learners to meet their individual needs, aspirations and goals. To provide additional training and facilitation to meet the requirements of the Skills Centre. To deliver, support and guide learners through framework and stand alone qualifications within the Health & Social Care Team. You will ensure quality of service, continuous professional development and timely achievement of learner goals and qualifications.

  1. To work within the guidance of the annual business plan.

Team

Working as part of the Skill Centre Team

  1. To identify potential areas for growth and diversification and create new courses in line with the employment market.
  2. To design, deliver and evaluate training solutions that take account of learner needs, abilities, lifestyles and interests and fulfil curriculum and accreditation requirements.
  3. To carry out learner centred initial, diagnostic, formative and summative assessments as appropriate and agree relevant learning plans.
  4. To provide information and support to other Team members.
  5. To ensure that all paperwork is completed in line with Company requirements.
  6. To ensure that all learner information is recorded and stored in line with Company procedures.
  7. To actively support learners in job seeking and sourcing job opportunities.
  8. To ensure that appropriate reviews take place within educ8 and with other relevant professionals.
  9. To take an active role in Team meetings, standardisation, design and development of training to assist the effective and creative delivery of framework and stand alone qualifications.
  10. To highlight and discuss learner issues providing focussed learner support where required.
  11. To support the end-to-end service approach of the Team and, where required, assist team members to ensure that all Health & Social Care Team Learners receive their certificates and portfolios in a timely manner.
  12. To contribute to the overall Team achievement of profiled learner outcomes.

  1. To promote a positive ethos within the learning environment.
  2. To maintain and develop knowledge of current products, services and funding streams.
  3. To maintain a positive caseload of active learners ensuring that all activity complies with Educ8, Statutory and Awarding Body standards and requirements.
  4. To contribute to the Educ8 Self Assessment process.
  5. To actively engage in Continuous Professional Development.
  6. To take responsibility for your own appraisal, support and supervision.
  7. To be a role model for the learner group.
  8. To work within the guidelines, policies and procedures of Educ8 at all times.
