Investors In People Platinum status awarded to Educ8 Group
Investors in People is respected for accrediting and working with organisations that show dedication to their own staff, with training, engagement and wellbeing all part of the vital mix that leads to organisational success.
Many businesses aspire to achieve the coveted Gold standard, as did Educ8 previously, but for this assessment that wasn’t enough. Employee satisfaction, motivation and happiness is of such importance to us that we have worked hard to achieve Investors in People Platinum level accreditation in 2019, which will last for 3 years.
Currently, Educ8 Group is only the 6th organisation to be accredited at Platinum level in Wales, one of very few learning providers to receive this prestigious accreditation.
Educ8 Group’s Head of Business Improvement, Tracey O’Neill, comments: “Investors in People states: ‘Most of us will spend 80,000 hours at work in a lifetime. For something that takes up that much of our time… people should get more out of it than just a pay cheque.’
“That’s a sentiment that lies at the core of Educ8’s values – the wellbeing of our staff is paramount and the serious consideration we give to this matter shows in our processes and procedures as much as in our attitude and way of doing business.”
Grant Santos, CEO of Educ8 Group, adds: “We’re not the sort of people who are in business just to make money. We’re here to help people by offering quality employment where they’re treated with respect and their views are truly valued. In that way we can provide exemplary service levels to our learners and their employers, helping to raise the overall standard of skills within Welsh communities and beyond.”
Perhaps more remarkable again is the fact that this accreditation covers both Educ8 and ISA Training, the hair and beauty apprenticeship specialist that joined the Educ8 Group in late 2018.
Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said: “Investors in People accreditation is the sign of a great employer, and an organisation committed to achieving success by realising the potential of their people. Educ8 Group should be extremely proud of their achievement.”
The award was presented to Educ8 on 29thJuly 2019 by the Investors in People Wales Manager Sarah Botterill, who commented: “This level of accreditation has so far been achieved by under 2% of all accredited businesses across the world. The decision to award Educ8 accreditation at Platinum level involved the triangulation of evidence across a range of sources; this included an online survey, individual conversations and focus-groups, as well as metrics scrutiny. It is evident that Educ8 truly values its people and justly deserves this recognition.”
