Adele’s Story

19 year old Adele works in Bright Beginnings Nursery, Porthcawl, as a Nursery Assistant and enrolled to do a QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Care Learning and Development with Educ8. Even though Adele has attended college courses in the past she felt that it lacked the interaction and motivation to work in the Child Care Sector.

Since attending her first workshop with Educ8, Adele has met a number of people who work with children and has learnt a Gr8 deal of useful information that she can put to practice in the workplace.

‘I expected the programme to be really nerve-racking but I’m enjoying it so much, I’ve met so many different people and learnt new things since I started in October’. Adele was very impressed with the way in which the Programme was introduced, stating that ‘the work structure of the programme was explained and presented clearly’ giving her the confidence to continue with the CCLD qualification.

In such a short space of time Adele has displayed enthusiasm and shown how eager she is to progress to both her colleagues and her Assessor, ‘Adele started with us in October 2012, after attending one workshop Adele informed me that as her room leader had been on annual leave for a week she had been running the baby room in her absence. I feel this is a huge achievement as she hasn’t been employed long, she also received a letter from her manager acknowledging how well she did!’

Adele aims to complete her qualification over the next ten months with the support of Educ8 and intends to progress with passion in a career in Childcare.
