Celebrating apprenticeships at the Senedd during National Apprenticeship Week Wales 2026

Educ8 Training had a fantastic day attending the Apprenticeships Fayre at the Senedd on Wednesday 11 February 2026, held in the Senedd’s Neuadd in Cardiff Bay as part of National Apprenticeship Week 2026. It was a real pleasure to be part of an event that celebrated apprenticeships and the difference they continue to make across Wales.

Hosted by Colegau Cymru and the National Training Federation for Wales, and sponsored by the Cross Party Group for Apprenticeships, the Fayre brought together employers, training providers and apprentices in a truly collaborative setting. The event showcased how apprenticeships are supporting productivity, innovation and long-term growth for businesses across the region.

Jointly sponsored by Cross Party Group Co-Chairs Luke Fletcher MS and Joyce Watson MS, the Neuadd was transformed into a lively, interactive space filled with conversation, activity and shared learning. Employers had the opportunity to explore exhibition stands, take part in hands-on activities and discover the breadth of apprenticeship pathways available across key sectors.

A highlight of the day for Educ8 Training was being joined by Business Improvement Techniques learner Benjamin Peet, who showcased the skills and knowledge he has developed through his apprenticeship. His contribution perfectly demonstrated the practical, real-world impact apprenticeships can have for both learners and employers.

The event also welcomed former apprentice and Minister for Culture, Skills and Social Partnership, Jack Sargeant MS, adding to the sense of pride and celebration surrounding apprenticeships. Throughout the day, there were valuable opportunities for employers from across South Wales to connect, share experiences and discuss how apprenticeships can support future workforce development.

National Apprenticeship Week Wales is an important moment to recognise the achievements of apprentices and the organisations that support them, and Educ8 Training was proud to attend an event that brought apprenticeships to the heart of Welsh Government. It was a wonderful day celebrating the power of apprenticeships and their role in building a skilled, future-ready workforce for Wales.
