How a Childcare Apprenticeship in Wales can launch your career

Why increasing numbers of students are choosing Childcare Apprenticeships

More people in Wales are rethinking the traditional route into childcare. While university may initially appear to be the only option, apprenticeships are becoming an increasingly realistic and rewarding alternative. With an Educ8 Training Childcare Apprenticeship, you’ll get to gain on-the-job experience, earn a salary, and achieve a nationally recognised qualification – without finishing university with student debt.

If you are passionate about helping children grow, learn, and thrive, then an apprenticeship could be the perfect way to start (or build) your career.

No Tuition Fees: A Debt-Free Route into Childcare

Increasing university tuition is also a discourager to many; with tuition, travel, and living, debt can add up very quickly. On the other hand, you will not pay a single dime for tuition in childcare apprenticeships with Wales; all of the costs are paid by the Welsh Government.

What is included:

Full training costs

One-to-one support from a trainer coach

Moodle digital learning resources

Acquire Skills Relevant to Employers

Apprenticeships in childcare are built around actual work. Instead of theory, you will build the practical abilities that nurseries and childcare providers need – from helping to support children’s wellbeing to stimulating play and learning.

At higher levels, you will discover leadership skills, such as how to manage teams and give every child in your care the best start in life. Employers value this real-world training, and many apprentices go straight into permanent employment or leadership roles.

Flexible Learning That Suits You

We at Educ8 Training recognise that it is not always easy to juggle work, family, and studying. This is why our childcare apprenticeships use blended learning – a combination of online content with workplace training and monthly 1:1 support from your coach. Your assessments are also carried out in your own workplace, so there is no need to take extra time off or travel.

Different Levels to Suit Your Career Ambitions

Whether you are starting out or aiming for leadership, there is a level for you:

–         Level 2 – Entry-level, the perfect first step into childcare

–         Level 4–5 – For senior staff and managers ready to lead and inspire
