Educ8 successfully expand into England

Educ8 Training are kicking off the new year with an expansion into England after acquiring Berkshire based company Haddon Training.

The acquisition sees Educ8 not only expand its footprint in the UK, but also its range of training. Haddon Training specialise in the equine sector, delivering apprenticeships in animal care, zookeeping and business.

Haddon will continue to operate as a separate entity but as part of the Educ8 Group. The business traces its roots back to Haddon Stud established in 1991 where its founder bred racing and competition horses. Haddon Training began in 1997 and is now an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ training provider.

The deal sees Educ8 Training complete its third acquisition in the last few years, following the purchase of NTS in 2015 and ISA Training in 2018. It will result in the group’s turnover reaching c.£13.5m.

Grant Santos, CEO of Educ8 Training said: “Haddon is a prestigious and well-respected training provider. We are delighted to be given the opportunity to take the business forward as part of our group. We are very excited about the future at Educ8. The news comes after a successful 2021 where the company were awarded No.1 Best Mid-sized Company to Work For and No.1 Best Education and Training Company in the UK 2021. Since Educ8 was founded by Colin Tucker in 2004, the group has seen significant growth across South Wales and now employs over 180 staff.

Colin Tucker, Educ8 Training Founder and Chairman said: “We are proud to be a Welsh enterprise and help Welsh businesses upskill their workforce by providing quality educational and growth opportunities to both employers and learners.
