This apprenticeship is designed to fit around your role and provide flexible and practical learning.

What you’ll learn through a Project Management apprenticeship

Our Project Management is fully-funded by Welsh government and will provide you with the skills and confidence you need to successfully manage projects across a range of industries. 

You will learn how to: 

• Plan, manage and deliver projects effectively 

• Apply project management principles in real work environments 

• Manage stakeholders and communicate effectively 

• Monitor project progress, timelines and outcomes 

• Lead projects and contribute to organisational success 

 

You will also develop skills in key areas such as: 

• Project finance and budgeting 

• Risk management and quality assurance 

• Contracts and project governance 

• Managing project scope and schedules 

• Leadership and decision-making within your area of responsibility 

Fully funded qualifications across a range of levels

Our Project Management course is a Level 4 apprenticeship. Depending on your current job role, on completion, you could even progress to a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification. 

We offer a range of levels from Level 2 to Level 5 in Leadership and Management, spanning an entire range of skillsets from those new to management to those working as senior managers and directors. 

Our ILM qualifications will add another string to your bow, showcasing that you’re not only great at managing projects, but you’re also great at managing people too.

What happens after your apprenticeship?

Once you have completed your Project Management qualification, you will receive official certification and be invited to celebrate your achievement at Gradu8, Educ8 Training’s annual graduation ceremony. 

The knowledge and practical experience gained throughout the programme can support progression into more senior project management, operational or leadership roles across a wide range of industries. Whether you’re looking to manage larger projects, take on greater responsibility or continue your professional development, this qualification provides a strong foundation for long-term career growth.

What is Project Management?

Project Management is the process of managing a project that is something of value to people. It is the process of working towards a specific goal within a set timeframe that includes a variety of tasks to ensure each target is met upon completion.

Who are our government funded Project Management courses for?

Our government funded Project Management courses are suitable for individuals aged 16 or over who are living in Wales and employed in a role where they are involved in planning, coordinating or delivering projects. They are ideal for project coordinators, project managers, team leaders and supervisors managing projects, as well as professionals looking to move into project management roles. Employers can also use these programmes to develop project management skills within their existing teams. Whether you’re new to project management or looking to enhance your existing skills, our funded qualifications provide the practical knowledge and confidence to succeed. 

How much does a Project Management course cost?

Unlike going to university, studying a course with us is free. Both the learner and employer benefit from advanced training at no extra cost, as our courses are fully-funded by the Welsh Government. A debt-free way to progress your career and develop your staff.

Can I complete a Project Management qualification while working full time?

Yes. Our Project Management qualification is designed to fit around your existing role, allowing you to develop your skills while continuing to work. You’ll apply your learning in real workplace projects, helping you make an immediate impact within your organisation. 

Is the Project Management course really free?

Yes. Our Project Management qualification is fully funded by the Welsh Government, meaning there is no cost to eligible learners or their employers. 

What skills will I develop during the course?

You’ll develop practical project management skills, including project planning, stakeholder communication, risk management, budgeting, resource management, monitoring project performance and delivering successful outcomes. You’ll also strengthen essential workplace skills such as leadership, organisation and problem-solving.  

How is the qualification assessed?

Assessment is based on practical evidence from your workplace, including projects, professional discussions and a portfolio of work. Your dedicated trainer coach will support you throughout the programme with regular reviews and one-to-one guidance. 

How will I be supported throughout the programme?

You’ll be assigned a dedicated trainer coach who will provide regular one-to-one support, progress reviews and expert guidance throughout your qualification, helping you achieve your goals while balancing learning alongside your day-to-day role.
