
What is the Employer Incentive Scheme?
The Apprenticeship Employer Incentives offer financial support to recruit individual/s into employment, supporting the development of a workforce that is able to meet changing business needs.
There are a number of different incentives:
- Up to £4,000 for each new apprentice recruited aged under 25
- Up to £2,000 for each new apprentice recruited aged 25 and over
- Up to £2,600 for the re-employment of redundant apprentices to allow them to compete their raining, irrespective of age
- £1,500 for each new disabled apprentice recruited, irrespective of age
This support is available for employees who have a contract of employment start date with the employer and an apprenticeship agreement between 01 August 2020 and 30 September 2021(inclusive).
Eligible employers will be able to claim payments for a maximum of 10 apprentices. If an apprentice leaves after the 4 weeks have elapsed, this apprentice will still count against the maximum recruitment of 10 apprentices.
