You may remember that we announced Wales Air Ambulance as our charity of the year a few months back. Partnering with this incredible charity is essential to our company as it allows us to give back to the community and align our values with meaningful causes.
Wondering what we’ve been up to in the past months? Here’s a wrap up of what we’ve done and what’s to come!
Halloween 2024

We kicked off the start of our fundraising efforts by dressing up and carving pumpkins for Halloween! With prizes for the best effort, our winners were our Hair and Beauty team winning with these wonderful pumpkins, and the Essential Skills team winning the costume competition!
November’s Tash Team

In the month of November some of our senior leaders from Educ8, ISA Training, Haddon Training Ltd and Aspire 2Be grew moustaches to raise money. They ended up raising an incredible £288! Thanks again to our wonderful Tash Team Grant, Brian, Matt, James, and Nick!
Christmas Raffle!
At our Christmas Party we held a raffle for the whole company, with some fantastic prizes up for grabs. With this push at the end of the year our JustGiving page was among the top 20% of fundraisers last month out of thousands, which is an incredible achievement. Well done to all the winners!
Visiting the Wales Air Ambulance Helipad

Back in January, we had the absolute privilege of visiting the Wales Air Ambulance helipad in Cardiff and witnessing firsthand the incredible work they do for our community. Hearing the stories of the lives they’ve touched, and the dedication of their team was truly inspiring, and really bolstered the fundraising team.
St David’s Day Competition
For St David’s Day this year, we ran another costume competition. We were looking for the most patriotic, standout costume in celebration. With many wonderful entries, it was hard to choose but in the end, we picked Project Management Trainer Coach, Kevin O’Brien.

What a great costume – we have a real Welsh Superhero in our midst!
Bake Sale

We also held a bake sale in March to celebrate Wales Air Ambulances 24th anniversary. Held in the Educ8 HQ staff room, everyone came prepared with their appetite, generosity, and a little extra for a good cause. With plenty of people donating and purchasing cakes and treats on the day, we raised over £100!
April Steps Challenge
Throughout April we ran a Steps Challenge to get people up and moving. All across the group, we teamed up, strapped on our walking boots, and tracked our steps to see which team walked the furthest in April. Across the Educ8 Group we walked over 7 million steps and raised £200 for Wales Air Ambulance. But the real stand outs were Team Amble2Be, who topped the leaderboard with over 2 million steps – an outstanding effort!
What’s Next?
This September, we’re attempting the Welsh Three Peaks – climbing Snowdon, Cadair Idris, and Pen y Fan all in one day is no easy feat! We’re working with Darren Thomas from Signposted Cymru, a charity that specialises in intervention for individuals struggling with their mental health and wellbeing. Stay tuned on our socials for more updates closer to the date.
Year to Date Total
