What to expect from our Digital Skills for Business course

Our Digital Skills for Business course offers a flexible approach to learning. Train on the job with monthly one to one support from a specialist trainer coach. You’ll have 24/7 access to our A2B Hub which hosts a variety of online resources to further support your learning. We also offer INSPIRE workshops which delve deeper into module content.

You will study a variety of mandatory units that cover topics such as data collaboration and creating digital presentations in Level 2, to data management and spreadsheet software in Level 3. You will have the option to study a range of optional units to tailor the qualification based on your areas of interest and the needs of the business.

All our courses are fully funded by the Welsh Government which means you will study debt-free and at no extra cost to you or your employer. Through hands-on experience, you’ll enhance your confidence and competence while working with a range of digital tools and platforms.

What you will learn during your digital qualification

On our Level 2 course, you will explore data management software, develop skills in creating impactful digital presentations, and gain expertise in spreadsheet and word processing techniques. This qualification covers essential topics such as managing workplace email, ensuring digital security for business and maintaining health and safety when working with digital technology.

Our Level 3 qualification will unlock advanced techniques in mastering data management, digital communication and spreadsheet software. You will further explore the power of digital collaboration and gain skills in data visualisation. With a range of optional units available, you can choose from topics such as Project Management Software and Data Analysis based on your areas of interest.

Diploma Digital Skills for Business Levels 2 & 3

Our Digital Skills for Business course is ideal for those in office and administrative roles, who work with digital technologies and associated systems, such as Microsoft 365. Our Level 2 course is ideal for those at beginner level, while our Level 3 course is aimed at those with more advanced digital literacy skills, or those in senior or management positions.

Communication, Digital Literacy and Application of Number are also an essential part of all our apprenticeship frameworks. If you have already completed your Essential Skills and are able to provide suitable evidence, you may be exempt from completing this part of your qualification.

What happens after your Digital Skills for Business training

Following completion of the course, you will have achieved a Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Digital Skills for Business. You’ll also have achieved essential skills in Application of Number, Communication and Digital Literacy at Level 1 or 2.

Once you have completed, you will receive a certificate as proof of your newly gained, fully accredited qualification and will be invited to attend Gradu8 – our annual graduation ceremony, where you will get the chance to celebrate your fantastic achievement.

Can I apply for Level 2 or 3 Digital Skills for Business?

To be eligible for our fully-funded course, you must be in a relevant role. You can be new to your role, or a current, experienced member of staff already in employment. You must be working in Wales. Contact us for more information on eligibility.

How do I apply for an apprenticeship?

What is the time commitment for the apprenticeship?

As part of the apprenticeship, you will be required to meet with your trainer coach monthly (approximately 1.5 hours) and engage in learning content and assignments around your schedule.  Time can vary from person to person, but in total, you can expect to attribute between 5 and 8 hours per month.
