Who is this course for?
Our Social Media for Business qualification is ideal for individuals who are currently employed and have responsibility for creating, managing or contributing to their organisation’s social media activity. Whether you’re working in a marketing, communications, customer service or business support role, the course will help you develop the practical skills needed to create engaging content and grow your organisation’s online presence.
To be eligible, learners must be aged 16 or over, living in Wales and in a suitable job role where they can apply their learning in the workplace. With no upper age limit, the qualification is suitable for both those new to social media and experienced professionals looking to strengthen their digital skills.
Level 3 Social Media for Business

Social media has become a critical commercial tool for companies of all sizes. On completion you will be able to plan, execute and analyse highly effective social media campaigns for the benefit of the business.

What happens after your Social Media apprenticeship
Once you have completed your Social Media for Business qualification, you will receive official certification and be invited to celebrate your achievement at Gradu8, Educ8 Training’s annual graduation ceremony.
You may then choose to progress onto further qualifications, such as Digital Marketing Level 3 or Level 4, helping you develop a broader digital marketing skillset and prepare for more senior marketing and communications roles. The skills gained through this qualification can support career progression across a wide range of industries where social media, content creation and digital engagement play an important role

Our accredited qualification is Level 3 Social Media for Business. You will study a mix of optional and mandatory units including the principles of keywords and optimisation and using collaborative technologies. We also offer Digital Marketing apprenticeships in levels 3 and 4. These offer a wider look at the digital technology industry alongside social media.
Your wage will depend on your employer. Many apprentices enjoy a competitive salary. Completing the social media course will give you an accredited qualification to showcase your experience and help you build confidence to ask for a higher wage. If you are already within a role, you will study our course as part of your current job on your current salary.
We offer a Level 3 Social Media for Business qualification accredited by City & Guilds. We also offer a Level 3 course in Digital Marketing. On completion of either course you could then progress to Level 4 Digital Marketing.
Yes. This qualification is fully funded by the Welsh Government, meaning there is no cost to eligible learners or their employers.
You will learn how to create engaging content, manage social media platforms, understand audience behaviour, build brand awareness, monitor performance and stay up to date with the latest social media trends. You’ll also explore areas such as content planning, digital communication and online engagement.
Assessment methods vary depending on the units selected and your job role. Evidence may include workplace activities, assignments, and professional discussions. Your trainer coach will guide you through the assessment process and provide one-to-one support throughout the programme.
The Social Media for Business qualification can support progression into a variety of roles, including Social Media Executive, Marketing Assistant, Digital Marketing Executive, Communications Officer and Content Creator. It can also help business owners and employees strengthen their organisation’s online presence.
